Every business has an impact upon society and the natural environment.

At SmoothWall, we believe it is important to integrate environmental and social concerns with every aspect of our business operations. We aim to encourage those who work with and for us to take pride in our company ethics, and act with honesty and integrity in everything they do.

This statement underlines our commitment to continually improve and minimize the impacts of our operations, and act as responsible and ethical employers, suppliers, purchasers and citizens.

Protection of the natural environment is a key part of our principles and we consider it to be sound business practice.

To protect the environment we live and work in, we are committed to;

Assessing the environmental impact of our activities (calculating our carbon footprint)
Considering the environmental impacts of our products for their whole-life-in-use.
Monitoring and continuously improving our environmental performance by removing waste and improving efficiency.
Communicating our objectives to educate others & create an 'environmentally aware' culture.

As part of our environmental commitments, SmoothWall is also aiming to produce carbon-neutral rated hardware products by offsetting their lifetime energy consumption via reputable carbon offsetting schemes.

We are also committed to reviewing design, materials and processes to optimize power efficiency and reduce the overall environmental impacts of our products.
